    David Vaughan, Ph.D., was the Executive Director of Mote International Center for Coral Reef Research and Restoration for 15 years and currently is the Manager of the Mote Coral Restoration Program. David is also the Founder and President of Plant a Million Corals, LLC. A distinguished and well-published aquaculture scientist, he conducted research at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute for several years and has designed, built, and operated a multitude of marine projects and businesses since he received his Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Physiology from Rutgers University in 1982.
